Yadavindra Public School is located in Patiala, Punjab, India. Considered among the top rung of Indian Public Schools, Yadavindra Public School, Patiala popularly known as YPS Patiala, is an English Medium Co-Educational Boarding-cum-Day school founded in 1948 by the late H H Maharaja Yadavindra Singh. Over the last six decades, YPS has grown to a student strength of 1600 and staff strength of 100. YPS is a member of the Indian Public Schools' Conference and is affiliated to CISCE. The school has spawned talents like Navjot Singh Sidhu, Reetinder Sodhi and also Shri Pawan Bansal, the sitting MP from Chandigarh and the Union Minister of State for Finance.

FACTS
YPS campus is of more than 45 acres in size. The school has three Houses - Dhani Ram, Mohindra and Phulkian. Each House has its own common room and dormitories. 10 years of General Education are followed by 2 years of preparation leading to Engineering, Medicine, Commerce and Institutes of higher learning.

The school prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Class X) and the Indian School Certificate (Class XII) Examinations conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, which is successor to the Local Examinations Syndicate of the Cambridge University (UK).

The school instructs students in games like Hockey, Soccer, Cricket, Tennis and Basketball. Each Boarding House in the school has a well furnished common room, which provide indoor games, a small library, TV set, music system and daily and weekly newspapers. The School has three computer labs - one in Junior Wing and two in the Senior Wing.
